Synoptic Situation
A high pressure ridge is building to the south of the state with a surface
trough developing near the west coast.
Forecasts:
Tuesday: E/SE winds 13/18 knots easing to 8/13 knots for a period during the
morning. Winds tending S'ly 18/23 knots in the afternoon. Winds south of
Rottnest tending E/SE 20/25 knots towards midnight. Seas to 2.0m. Swell to 1.5m.
Swell at Cottesloe: to 0.6m.
Winds on Melville Water: E'ly winds 13/18 knots easing to 8/13 knots during the
morning. Winds tending S/SE 10/15 knots in the afternoon and E/SE 18/23 knots
towards midnight.
Wednesday: E/SE winds 20/25 knots easing to 15/20 knots during the morning and
10/15 knots around midday. Afternoon winds tending S/SE 15/20 knots. Seas to
1.5m. Swell to 1.5m.
Thursday: E/SE winds 18/23 knots easing to 13/18 knots during the morning.
Afternoon winds tending S/SW 8/13 knots, becoming variable winds to 10 knots
during the evening.
Current Swell Observations:

Cottesloe Waverider Buoy: 0.5m.
